What Happens During a Septic Inspection

Buying, selling or just checking in? Here's what a septic inspection covers and what you get at the end.

A septic inspection gives you a clear picture of what's underground. Here's what BAM Septic Solutions checks.

The septic tank

Liquid level, sludge and scum layers, inlet and outlet baffles, the effluent filter, and the condition of the tank, lids and risers.

The septic lines and distribution box

We check that wastewater is flowing from the house to the tank and from the tank to the distribution box, and that the D-box is level and sending water evenly to every leach line.

The leach field

We look for wet spots, surfacing effluent, and signs the soil has stopped absorbing.

The report

You get a written report with photos and clear recommendations: nothing needed, a pumping, a repair, or TerraLift leach field rejuvenation.
